Jon has been reading a couple of blogs and he sees a disturbing trend recently.
In the beginning, most bloggers are blogging mainly about their lives, their emotions, their comments and other experiences that they went through. As time passed by, most bloggers are more open to their comments and the use of their words. As they find more recognition from the other bloggers, these bloggers established a level of confidence and this little confidence gave them strength and courage to write more freely.
A lot of bloggers are trying to find ways to write in the way that connect best to the audience. They yearn for affirmation. They yearn for compliments. They yearn for support. They also yearn for fame.
In the end, these bloggers start to write what the others want to hear. These bloggers write in the way that best connect to the others. These bloggers write things that attract attention.
These bloggers then start to find topics that are interesting. They use certain language that amuse audience. They go the extra mile to use the "earthly" words to strike a cord with the world. They win the world over. They are loved by all.
But do not be happy. Let Jon tells you a truth - these bloggers lost themselves.
1 John 2; 15-17
"Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world - cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does - comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever."
